      Pros

      Inspire system for permanent staff to award each other for going above and beyond, can be used to convert to gift cards. Private health care.

      Cons

      Typical system seen in most global multi-million companies. You will do well to rub elbows with management but they are a clique of their own. Look after yourself physically and mentally and just get on with the work.

      Pros

      I found my first year to be incredible. It was a sharp learning curve but exciting as well. Merck is a collaborative environment where many scientists share their research and help guide jr scientists as well. I really enjoy my time and my work is meaningful. I can see myself here for many years.

      Cons

      There's no sites close to me so I commute incredibly far across state lines. I don't know if you're allowed to work remotely some days either.
