Excellent Company With Growing Pains

Pros

Fantastic projects and great customers. My work has always been, and continues to be challenging, rewarding and most often fun. Company is growing both from current customers and by new acquisitions that bring even more opportunity for employees.

Cons

Work load is heavy. New engineers are great but are a burden to train. Its getting better but will take time. I think of it as 'growing pains'.

Work overload. Difficult to find time to get away and enjoy the summer. New employees are great but they need to gain experience to make a real impact.

Pros

Extremely talented employees, products that help make the world a safer place and good teamwork, except for the very top level.

Cons

Company is run by a CEO who has no interest in the business, long term development and particularly not the people. He is driving away good talent, too quick to do layoffs if the quarterly numbers are not as he told the board. No stability, benefits cut at will. People have lost faith, do not trust the CEO or his team and are sick of being pushed over any reasonable limit. Probably worst of all is that while JG will ask for feedback he cannot deal with it and if you provide it it will backfire. Be careful!
