Pros

Great people, great history. Engineers are top notch (but leaving fast on there own or during frequent layoffs to make up for CEO's lies to Wall Street).

Cons

Current management team has only built spark plugs and components and don't get this engineered products businessWe need a new CEO soon. Like other posts say we haven't had a good CEO since Chip. This Jeff Graves guy just put another guy to run test. The sensors guy (spark plugs). Were doomed.

Pros

MTS has exciting products and customers. The coworkers are caring and some of the nicest people you can work with. MTS continues to have a strong volunteer and community culture, although I'm not sure how long that will last.

Cons

No one is safe, everyone fears for their jobs. This is not a speak up culture as advertised in the company values. Many good people are leaving the company and along with them goes the experience and history which is a valuable asset to a company with little structure or documented policies.

Once a great company, now mediocre at best

Pros

Good people and facilities. Very interesting work and smart engineers who are willing to share their experience and expertise. Nice office facilities (Eden Prairie).

Cons

Has gone terribly down hill since Chip Emery left. Laura Hamilton and those who followed her are solely focused upon their bonuses and the current quarterly results. They have limited understanding of what the company could become if they allowed innovation to flourish rather than add layers of management and bureaucracy. Just look at the SGA as a % of sales to see what is happening. When the economy cools the heads will roll.
