Pros

People are amazing. The co-workers you will have are awesome. Every single person I worked directly with was awesome and hard working. I received opportunities here that I would have never got elsewhere with my experience level coming in.

Cons

Management is rough to say the least. Communication is terrible from the top down. I think the CEO needs to take a long hard look at what he is paying employees. Compensation is not competitive in comparison to other software companies in the area. They can’t seem to maintain the talent they desperately need. This company did launch my career in tech though so I always have them to thank for that.

Pros

I loved working with the people at this company. They are invested and fun.

Cons

The upper level leaders at MacPractice is unable to articulate a long or short term road map of where it is headed. It is obvious that leadership does not agree or see eye to eye with one another and these upper level chaos in leadership is ultimately reflected into the product being shipped. There has been a pay freeze that was enacted a few years ago for all employees that the administration does not acknowledge, bring up, discuss, or advertise. Clients have been leaving the company at an alarming rate and the company responds with a knee jerk mantra that we need to develop more features to "sell more". The company will then spend its valuable resources creating features for a press release instead of dealing with its core issues. The result is a buggy piece of 10 year old software that has 10 years of features built onto it that few of MacPractice's employees are proud of. Top down communication is abysmal. Several times the entire company has learned of a new feature or change in direction from a press release that the CEO sent out to clients.
