Pros

The flexible hours an on call associate gets could be ok.

Cons

The store I work in is a mess. Everything is so unorganized it's amazing the store does not shut down. The on call associates are not given a place to keep their stuff during the day. All the lockers are taken by the steady sales reps. I was told to keep my purse in my car. REal nice. We can take a clear small purse they give us to use but we still have no place to keep it safe during a busy work day of running all over the store working different departments. Keep in mind keys phone and ID are carried in that little clear bag to be thrown around the store. It's either that or keep those thigs in your car out in the parking lot. Pretty rotten.

Pros

Past a 90 probation the job is pretty easy... being late calling out etc are not grounds for termination as long as you are generally liked and your performance is sufficient. Good Vacation time

Cons

The pay is awful compared to other retail jobs. There is NO employee appreciation. If you don't open credit card application your job will be threatened. Management is only nice to you if they like you... otherwise they will treat you poorly.

Pros

There are good career advancement opportunities. It all depends on the team. Men's team is generally better and more better run than the ready-to-wear team.

Cons

A lot of managers and upper management are old dinosaurs that should have been laid off during their huge layoff last year. The company needs to pay better so they can retain and gain those who are smart and knowledgeable about busines and running an efficient business.
