Pros

I enjoyed the atmosphere during the holidays and special events. It became a shopping frenzy. The live music provided during the special events made shopping enjoyable for customers and employees. It was fun working there and you just wanted to be there. Macys have great discounts and products for everyone.

Cons

Selling and pushing credit to the customers and employees. Basically, Macy's forces it employees to apply for credit in order to recieve an employee discount.

Pros

I enjoy the different aspects of the job. I get to meet people from all over the world. I get to influence young people and help develop a good work ethic in them.

Cons

The sale days with pries changing on a daily basis. Trying to keep signs accurate and merchandise in the right place so customers don't get confused and upset.

Pros

-The nicest people I have ever worked with. Everyone was very helpful and polite; I never had an issue with any of the other employess or the managers/coordinators while I worked there. -Some schedules let you have always have three day weekends. -Very easy to get this job. As long as you pass the online application and they have openings, you're in. No interview required.

Cons

-The environment itself is undesirable. It's similar to a factory. Those who don't like getting their hands dirty wouldn't enjoy this kind of work. -Long hours, but I guess that depends on what schedule you choose to work when you are first employed. I worked 7-5:30, but then again I enjoyed three-day weekends.
