      My experience with Macy's...is that I wish it was still Kaufmanns...enough said.

      Pros

      They were very understanding when I had a family member sick. Gave me all the time off I needed. That's it.

      Cons

      The cons of working here...where to start....If you are not an a** kisser you will get nowhere. Mgt. is way too cozy with one another. They protect one another to the loss of the sales clerk. No hrs to speak of..so if you are looking for a paycheck to live on...this is NOT the place. Benefits...what benefits? Paid time off...nope. Holiday pay...nope. Can't really think of one good thing to say. From where they were as Kaufmanns to where they are now as Macy's...was a drastic decline in how the employees are treated.

      The people I work with, are supportive and are much more valuable and knowledgeable, then any supervisors.

      The people I work with, my customers.

      Cons

      total lack of respect for associates, continual press for credit. Push addition add on. store manager blames everything on associates. High turnover of staff, when hiring new staff they give new associates prime hours. Continual standing, leads to severe leg and back problems. The store manager will rant in front of staff.

      Pros

      The management is competent. Employees are given a good discount and still able to use coupons. You can pick up more hours online when they become available.

      Cons

      You cannot put in your availability. As a part time associate, you work EVERY saturday. If you miss work too many days, for being sick, you will be terminated.
