Pros

A decent place to work if you are looking for something part-time and nothing really to demanding. You get a discount at least.

Cons

Terrible management skills and clearly a lack of understanding when it comes to retailing or trying to run a successful business as a whole.

Pros

If you show up on time and don't call in, you will have no problem maintaining a job with Macy's. Very friendly environment and you have the pride of selling decent merchandise.

Cons

You must be very flexible with your availability, especially if you are full time. Macy's has a general policy that employees cannot request their schedule or days off for the week. You can only officially request a day off if you have paid time off hours. Absolutely no flexibility during the holiday season, which is typical of any retailer, but Macy's opens at 6:00 AM and closes at midnight many times during the holiday season.
