Pros

There are great online resources to get you through the application process . High energy job.

Cons

Magic Ears appears to be disorganized. They are constantly sending wrong information to the wrong person through emails. I received a phone call from them right in the middle of one of their lessons. They were calling me to tell me that I wasn’t logged into the classroom. Later I was told that was an accident. They are kind enough to apologize but it goes on much too often. There is no mobile app. They use Skype instead of having their own app. If you don’t want to be high energy this job isn’t for you.

Pros

-Higher pay than other ESL companies -Set your own hours. -Very Flexible sick/cancelling class system. -They take the time to train you well.

Cons

-Teaching 4 kids at a time (higher energy level needed than 1v1) -Tier system where you don't get access to 100% of the classes you open slots for unless you are the highest level (which after 3 years, I still am not) -Less available timeslots to book than other ESL companies (which lowers total pay) -Must leave a voice review after class for each student, which takes about 5-6 minutes per 30 minute class. -Referral rewards (to get other teachers onboard) pales in comparison to other ESL companies. Not worth the effort.
