      1. The attendance policy is lenient 2. Very professional communication with teachers through Email and Skype messages. 3. The hiring process is very clear to applicants. 4. The teaching platform is easy to use 5. The feedback is very helpful for teachers. 6. You may apply for a second or even a third position to earn more salary

      Cons

      I have a wonderful experience while working for Magic Ears. I will definitely recommend this company to all my friends who work for online ESL teaching.

      Pros

      I have been with Magic Ears for five months and I absolutely love it! Let me outline some of the many reasons I like this company: • They listen to their teachers and implement teacher’s requests. • They value their teachers. • They communicate clearly and often with their teachers via email, Skype and in the teacher’s portal. • The Beijing staff is wonderful to work with. • The Magic Ears platform is interactive, fun and the student’s love it too! • Lots of support to teachers via workshops and Facebook groups. Curious? Join the Magic Ears Facebook Q & A group (Official). • Supportive environment-from fellow teachers (in the Magic Ears Family Official-join once hired) and the Beijing staff. • Built in reward system (no need to create your own). • Excellent curriculum to follow with teacher directions on each slide. • Booking done by company so it is equitable for teachers. • Opportunity to move into secondary positions. • Higher pay than other companies and they pay on time (once a month). • Wonderful cancellation policy if you are sick, power outage, family emergency, etc.

      Cons

      Cons: • If you are looking to have 100% full schedule with lots of hours right away, that won’t happen. This is common with many companies. • I can’t really think of any other cons. This is a fantastic company to work for and I highly recommend it. It’s especially helpful if you find someone with a referral code and they can help you and answer questions for you through the hiring process.

      Don't Waste Your Time Applying for This Job

      Pros

      I guess the pay is OK, however, you could literally make as much money working for another online teaching company so it's not anything you can't find elsewhere or is primarily exclusive to Magic Ears.

      Cons

      The Application process is daunting. They have extremely weird requirements, you need to be happy and peppy 24/7 in order to get hired by them. I don't know if acting like a circus clown constitutes good teaching but to each it's own. So, unless you're one of those rare few who can put on a good show don't bother with this job. The other thing I've noticed from watching a couple of demo videos on Youtube is that some applicants don't fully exhibit that energetic, peppy persona this company is going for, they're not over the top ridiculous for sure and yet they get hired. So if you live within the US, is a Caucasian I'm sure you'll get the job other than that don't bother even if you try your best to exhibit everything they're looking for and you act like a circus clown, chances are they won't hire you because "you're not a good fit" literally.
