Terribly corporate. They offered a manager, who had less than 2 years before retirement, a choice of demotion to shift lead or to quit. At the same time, they had promised the shift lead position as a promotion, to one of the employees, expecting the manager to quit. They also held attendance infractions against their employees, on their yearly reviews, for years after the infraction.

They do promote from within and you can switch to another position if it becomes available. Bigger company with good benefits.

Cons

Sales driven so much so that sales will trump credit almost every time and warehouse usually demands overtime at month end to meet monthly sales goals. After bought out by large company, Magnetek lost it's family feel to corporate mentality, worrying only about it's bottom line.
