Very poor management

Pros

There are a lot of great elements in the team -it's actually really international and talented overall...

Cons

..But it's all ruined because of the management, especially the CEO, the marketing and the HR. The CEO just likes a few people, talks badly to the others, get them fired when he dislikes them, acts in a very autocratic and unprofessional way. In terms of HR, there is no policy to retain talents, despite the initial promises. Payroll is average and there's no bonus or extra PTO to compensate. You should follow the management blindly or leave if you're not happy -which a lot of people are doing actually.

Pros

The people at a base level are great

Cons

Upper management are cliquey and nasty and think they know more than employees. Communication is dire. Organisation is worse. Trust is not there.

Pros

If you want to experience and be a part of building a successful international tech company in a super competitive space with great coworkers, Mailjet is the place to be. Credit to the Mgmt team and especially all of my former colleagues in building Mailjet from a local regional email service provider into a formidable international competitor and producing leading edge email innovations along the way (Passport, Real Time Monitoring, etc.). Further kudos for also building a diverse workforce in every sense of the term... Women <> Men parity and not just at the employee level but also leadership level. Multiple nationalities, cultures, languages. You'd be hard pressed to find as much diversity in any tech company the size of Mailjet! Lest I forget, the weekly sport and yoga classes offered by the company were always a great break from work and very appreciated.

Cons

If you are into structured processes, spending weeks or months on strategy analysis, enjoy well defined static KPIs, etc., Mailjet is extremely challenging. If you appreciate thinking on your feet, creative problem solving, digging in and contributing on an operational level no matter your seniority, going up against competitors 5x your size, this is the place for you.
