Incredible system to grow your nursing career & skills

Pros

Being on the STAT team, I get paid more to travel between our 5 different hospitals and just expose myself to new environments as a nurse. It has helped me stand out as a nurse and be recognized by nurse leaders. Here I feel like I can make my name for myself whereas at other Philly hospitals where you can get lost in the shuffle and are just a number. At MLH, the leaders want you to grow, and the nurse managers really care about your well-being and how you can keep learning and growing. That's huge to me and will always outweigh the lows of the job.

Cons

Nursing is stressful at times so maybe give them more recognition. That would go a long way. It's nice though that my unit really cares about each other so even if I'm stressed out or need a hand during my shift, I can always count on them. Burnt out is also real.
