The leadership, shared vision and mission, culture of respect and inclusion, sense of community and community impact are the best I have experienced in my career. The employees feel a strong sense of collaboration, appreciation and are some of the most dedicated, genuine and positive people I have been around. As a fundraiser, I have the privilege of watching my colleagues in all phases of providing transformational expert medical care for our community. Simply put: what is better than that?

Cons

Because Main Line Health has different hospitals or "campuses" and different treatment centers and ambulatory/other care centers, there can be some differences in the "feel" or how each place accomplishes the shared mission/vision. I believe that is normal when you have different hospitals, histories and some cultural differences between each location. MLH admin pays constant attention to training, professional development, deliverables and support of the employees in all departments.

I believe MLH is an organization that prides themselves on not only the level of care and attention they provide to all of their patients, but also to their own staff on a day to day basis! Being part of Main Line Health is being part of a team! I believe the Benefits, PTO, Pension, and Tuition Reimbursement really are curated to serve the staff as best they can, and that's just to name a few! Feeling supported day in and day out by management has always been a big factor for me. Personally, I feel as though MLH has created an environment where you are able to communicate with senior level leadership to help get the answers you need to complete your job successfully, but to also further develop your own professional knowledge and experience.

Cons

I don't have many, but if I had to name one area of improvement, I believe it would be promotional opportunities and mobility. The job market is competitive right now and I know the organization is working hard to create and provide opportunities for staff to continue to grow and learn in. I think if there was just some more opportunity to advance on an annual basis it would be even more appreciated!
