Manpower is committed to creating opportunities for our people to develop their careers in whatever direction they choose and as part of the wider ManpowerGroup there is certainly no shortage of potential for our people to explore. It is always encouraging to hear positive accounts of the progression on offer, though I do take on board your comment about individuals having to have a clear idea of what they want in order to push forward. While I agree that a clear direction can be helpful, I do not believe anyone should be held back by not knowing how they would like to progress. Our business must support all colleagues, which is just one of the reasons we launched a weekly programme across our Manpower branches for teams to focus on their personal and professional development. The feedback has been really positive so far and we continue to invest in tools that will help all colleagues discover their personal best.

It is great that you had a strong relationship with your previous consultant; I know these can take a little while to build so I understand your disappointment at his departure. I’m sorry you have been receiving unsuitable roles via email subsequently, but would encourage you to get in touch with your new Manpower consultant to discuss your preferences.
