I can sense your frustration and I am sorry that your experience was not better with us. As you may know, we offer flexible benefits options that can be tailored to meet any individual and/or family needs – we realize this can make things cumbersome due to all of the options available (hard to navigate the options and make selections); however, we do not discourage anyone from using benefits. Part of our job when discussing benefits is to ensure candidates understand all of the options and any associated cost. From there, only the candidate knows what is best for their specific situation, and while we are there to provide help, guidance, and information; decisions regarding benefits selected ultimately must come from the candidate. I am not sure who you were working with at our company, but I know, without a doubt, we are not in the business of threatening anyone about anything. Another part of our job is to conduct reviews and provide feedback. If one of our employees is not performing well, or worse – being insubordinate – it is our responsibility to be honest with them and then explain the possible outcomes of either scenario; while also providing recommendations on how to solve any issues. It sounds like we could have communicated better with you, and as a result, we have implemented a process improvement plan for a more structured and continuous training in regards to how we communicate with our employees; which we think will help us avoid communication issues like this and ultimately improve the employee experience here in the future.
