Pros

Patient care and safety are at the center of all the providers and staff do at MarinHealth. The medical center and network have tremendous support of the Marin community, and many who work here also live close by. New leadership is working tirelessly to promote the culture of professionalism, and to implement diversity initiatives. MarinHealth is in the process of adopting the best electronic health care record available - UCSF's APeX (version of Epic). I love working at MarinHealth. As so many healthcare providers who work here, I would be a patient here myself without hesitation.

Cons

As MarinHealth continues to grow and develop, I would like to see more robust cross-disciplinary inpatient rounding, and expansion of ambulatory care services.

Great coworkers, good benefits. Free parking and decent hours, that is about all. Lots of cons outweigh the pros in this place.

Cons

Zero communication from management. One of our managers left and then the director and then we just had a supervisor. The supervisor was doing a great job, lots of communication and support. Then another manager stepped in and pulled away the communication by micromanaging the department. Taking on all of the work and not sharing basic information is a form of toxic mismanagement and that’s what this person does. That manager gossips and told his entire department that an employee quit over the phone and swore at him. That is not and should not be public information. He also told another staff member she was not needed there because she is pregnant. She went to HR and they didn’t do anything. Toxic. Stay. Away.
