Pros
Great benefits, low copay PPO insurance, good vision and dental insurance, pension, 403b. Great PPO, I think above average when comparing to other industries and average for hospitals.
Cons
Lots of employees suffering with low morale, and quitting. This is true for the entire organization. Staff tell each other of job opportunities elsewhere, that should tell you something, everyone is on the same page of leaving. As for the department, Manager uses hard power (sticks), to motivate employees. True there are some carrots, but approach is controlling, cold, abrupt, autocratic approach. The open door policy is in name only, as any kindly, well-worded suggestions get rebuffed before you even finish speaking. Only work here if you enjoy feeling like a wayward child that needs to be controlled - that treatment is true even if you are an intelligent adult with a history of delivering results.
