Pros

MarineMax is a huge company with the benefits that come with it. Great place to learn the ropes. Variety of different people on the sales side, which makes it easy to learn different perspectives and approaches.

Cons

As with any large company, it can be hard to monitor who falls through the cracks and who is still 'hangin around.' I'd recommend a more established anonymous feedback or peer review system that would allow for company oversight from outside of your specific dealer location. Any way to always help keep good talent in-place, and poor performers out, benefits all.

Working at MarineMax is a great way to network. I have viewed MarineMax as a paid opportunity to meet and get to know other business professionals.

Cons

Health insurance is not fully paid for by the company. If you want to add your family to the policy it is fairly costly. Management/leadership seems to have a VERY high rate of turnover. If you do not like your manager just wait a year or two.
