401k, Annual Bonus, Flex start time, Stock Purchase Programs, Work from home and remote employee opportunities, Paid parking, free coffee. Tuition assistance , short and long term disability. Medical, dental, vision plans. medical and transportation savings plans.

Cons

Deadline driven teams work 50 to 80 hour weeks. No Comp time, overtime pay or appreciation. Engineers who leave are replaced by off shore contractors. Contractor hours capped at 40. Plan time for downtown traffic and offsite parking. Deadlines maintain high level of stress Training and documentation not part of project timeline Difficulty scheduling PTO around deadlines Mid Level Management stated 40 hour work weeks are gone forever and anyone who doesn't like working under stress should reconsider their employment at Markel.
