      Pros

      Continuing education and ability to move up within the company. Friendly atmosphere and good teamwork between all areas in the Marriott.

      Cons

      Disorganized about the hiring process causing a lot of temp workers to be hired however it is a college town and people dont always stick around.

      Pros

      Excellent insurance benefits. Free meals and uniforms. Paid time offs. You get paid attending trainings and treated like hotel guests with banquet meals. FEW genuine Managers and associates, mostly those who's been with the company all their lives.

      Cons

      Not being given the right tools during training. You basically have to learn from your own mistakes. Training new supervisor hiree by a front desk agent. Territorial Associates. Training mostly done by their fellow Front Desk agent who refuse to share their knowlege. A lot of negative conversations behind ones back by Supervisors and Managers. Front desk associates leaving their posts whenever they want to but passing their probationary status and being paid the same amount as their dedicated associates. Career growth seems to be favorable for Whites and Blacks. Silent racial discrimination is felt regardless of their fair treatment policy.
