Pros
Good benefits, free food, and good pay for the amount of work you do. The staff in other departments, like HR, Housekeeping, Concierge, Technicians and Valet, are helpful and nice.
Cons
A brutal schedule consisting of 16-hour shifts forced OT and a rotating schedule of morning, swing, and night shifts in a week. I am unsure how this being a union position helped me. I just saw a deduction for union fees on my paycheck. They don't even provide sick pay, and you are forced to use your PTO when you call out sick. I found that unusual when so many employees called out sick (the same people every week). The department I worked for was a toxic environment/culture. I am unsure if some people even liked coming to work. Not a really good place for someone's mental health. It felt like torture at times.
