Pros

Wrigley is a good company to work for because of the well established brands. Everyone knows about wrigley gum. When it comes to selling such a well known product it makes the job a whole lot easier. My position is a field based position. Wrigley proviedes a company car with all paid expenses. They set you up with a home office and you are able to create a flexable schedule. Gas card is provided and that huge with rising prices. You work with the boss maybe 2 a month. Company computer, partial paid cell phone, paid high-speed internet and all the gum you could ever chew.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working at Wrigley is the uncertain future. Recently, the family owned CEO stepped down and brought in an outsider to run the company. 1 year later the company announces that it has been bought out by Mars and that the CEO will be leaving. Wrigley is one on the last few company's that continues to carry a sales force without using 3rd parties. Since the merger, we have now hired a 3rd party company at a fraction of the cost to do exactly the same work we do. Rumors are eveywhere around the company that we are being replaced. Also, every second of your time in the field has to be logged and management micro-manages.

Pros

The company has good benefits along with promoting a good work / life balance. The base salary is pretty competitive. There are some great people that you will work with. Company has a solid cash flow and has a strong market share in many of the divisions.

Cons

Most positions have group or division bonus plans which means that your individual performance doesn't affect your total compensation fairly. The company is slow to change at times with somewhat vague communication from senior managment. There is a little too much corporate red tape when it comes to sometimes the smallest tasks being completed.

Pros

Great product line. Excellent marketing. Wonderful, talented people.

Cons

Ridiculous office culture where there is no privacy to work effectively or efficiently...all because of some quirky idea the owners had that employees with offices made those without offices feel inferior. Not to worry, they have plenty of other ways to make all their employees feel inferior--unfair reviews, required time card punch even for salaried employees that carries with it a financial penalty if you're late, completely unrealistic expectations in terms of work/life balance. I could go on and on.
