Pros

Pretty good pay, options to advance positions if you're really serious about it, pretty decent benefits, close coworkers

Cons

My store doesnt have the budget to have more than one person in each department, meaning I had to manage the ladies, juniors, accessories, lingerie, and active wear alone. It's a lot of work, but very easy.

Pros

This was a great company with good leadership, solid training, and a solid grasp on the reality of retail in this modern climate. Good pay Descent W/L balance Good benefits Good Communication Good Training

Cons

As I stated "was" a great company. Over the last 2 years they have become more focused on metric management than on people. There is an obsession with an operational audit which has proven year over year not to impact shrink nor add to overall profitability. Field leadership and above have become increasingly blind to store concerns. The organization that once focused on developing the team, cultivating relationships, and commitment to the company's culture now seems more focused on managing to the number, processes that do not drive profit or customer loyalty, and micro management of the teams.
