Pros

- The company has potential for improvement if the right cultural changes are embraced. (If they wanted)

Cons

- My experience at Marvin was deeply disappointing. From the very beginning, I faced repeated instances of unprofessional and inappropriate behavior, particularly from team members resistant to change and diversity. - Efforts to bring positive energy, collaboration, and innovation were met with resistance and hostility. - Most concerning was the role of HR, which failed to support me or address the toxic behavior. Instead of resolving the issue, they seemed more focused on pushing new people to accept a toxic culture or quietly resign after just a few weeks. - The culture within the team I worked with appeared to thrive on negativity, discouragement, and exclusion, especially toward those who bring a fresh perspective. - Leadership tolerating disrespect undermines any stated commitment to inclusion and professional integrity.

BIG JOKE OF A COMPANY

Pros

Hard to think of any pro's, honestly. Paycheck would be it but that's a given because no one works in a volunteer role.

Cons

Not sure where to even begin. Owners are blind, they ignore the facts. They can hear about the same issues over and over and nothing will change because it doesn't affect their bottom line. Management is apart of the same circus because they don't want to lose the job they got from luck and rubbing elbows. Certainly not based off of education or (real) management experience. Most of the "Manager's" and "VP's" would drown at real companies.

Pros

Remote work option for some positions

Cons

The women receive perfume in the holiday gift bag every year. The men do not receive cologne. I don't know how this practice manages to exist in 2021. How no one advised against this sexist, moronic practice is beyond me! It's like the Twilight Zone around here. In addition: Incompetent HR, dinosaur mentality, "family-run", low pay, few benefits, limited parking, unskilled workers, outdated systems, not tech-savvy, no follow-through. Maybe two female leaders, none in C-suite. Rude co-workers who try to dump their work on you. Sexist attitudes from the women and the men. The project to bring everyone Windows 10 and Office 2016 is still in progress...in 2021. Miserly, frugal attitudes. Consistent paycheck and sick/vacation time accrual errors. You have to watch your pay stubs like a hawk! Hot-headed management doesn't take responsibility when incorrect information is shared. Vacation time by accrual and only ten days at start. If you are someone with normal, public sector, corporate experience you will be extremely unhappy here. It's like they feel sorry and root for their terrible employees while anyone with actual ability will never produce anything good enough. This place will make you so incredibly sad.
