Pros

Flexible hours, work when you want and as much as you want, earnings are based on the amount of work you want to do, good earning potential, 50% markup/earnings, can opt to keep inventory or not, no territories, no limit to the amount one can earn, make wonderful friends and relationships, help other women grow and gain confidence, can earn the use of a car or opt to take the cash compensation, wonderful prizes can be earned. Earn $50 anc $100 bonuses for qualified recruits after fourth recruit and $100 as director. Can resign for only $20 if one has been a consultant before. Can be a personal use consultant, not required to place more than $200 wholesale per year to remain a consultant.

Cons

Difficult to maintain directorship with a $4,000 wholesale requirement per month. If one is a director, cannot take time off and maintain directorship. Always need to find new recruits to maintain directorship. Conferences and Seminars require allot of travel for some consultants. May not like the director you are under and would have to set out for one year to be under another director.

Pros

no set schedule, you can work around your life, not being forced to put your career before your family. You get out of it what you put in. The company focus of establishing your personal and career goals are extremely helpful in getting you to grow as a person and as a consultant. With the right director, you can acheive absolutely anything! My unit is very supportive of each other and we strive to find fun ways to connect on many levels while maintaining a great focus on each individual business and the accomplishments each has acheived. Overall support is key in maintaining a positive outlook in the business. Our products are always needing to be reordered and even in a negative economy, women trust in Mary Kay.

Cons

Sometimes can be difficult in the recruiting area or starting with no immediate client base.

Pros

The sky is the limit in what you can make in Mary Kay. You can move at your own pace. There are no quotas. or territories I love the flexibility, and love being my own boss. Earning a new career car. The Job security of owning your own business. Making new friends. Learning skin care & glamour techniques. Company philosophies-God 1st, Family 2nd, & Career 3rd. Tax advantages/savings. Prizes & Recognition, Products at wholesale cost. Develop greater self confidence. Opportunity to Travel. WE write our own paychecks, and we decide whehn we want to climb to corporate ladder.

Cons

It is really hard to list a lot of downsides. I see only that it would be hard to be successful if you were not discipline , and had good work ethnics. The company is so fair, and they provide every opportunity to educate you and train you. You must apply yourself.
