Pros

In my location/district office, I can't say that there is much of a pro. I didn't work there but 7 months, I couldn't handle all the negatives about the company. Which I will get into in the cons.

Cons

There is a list a mile wide, but I'll just say the worst offenders. Upper management doesn't care about anyone. That's not to say that they wouldn't acquiesce to urgent needs, but the schedule they set us to work because of the fact they couldn't keep enough people here to accomplish the work load. Pay better, treat people better, Give better hours. Why did I work from 6 am because of a CONFERENCE CALL when I had to be at site at 8? And why wasn't I paid for that time? No, I don't mean your stupid hourly but not actually hourly piece work shenanigans. When we techs get up at 1 or 2 in the morning, and work until 1 or 2 the next morning, and you couldn't care less. That should be theft of wages. Why don't techs get an averaged amount when we are forced to work on things we won't be getting paid for? You treat us like employees and pay us like low level contractors. Why are we forced to work your rigid schedule, when you don't offer the same kindness to our paychecks? Dispatch is terrible as well. Why am I driving to a city 40 minutes away, while a tech from that city is passing me driving to my city. We also don't get paid for drive time, so that directly affects our check. Not only that, technicians should have more say in whether they will do a job or not. If someone is rude and offensive or pushing their religion on me, why can't I cancel that job? I have had those things happen to me multiple times. And if a customer calls back on your work within 30 days, you get whats called a Sin-30, which if you get a surprisingly low number of those and you can kiss your job good bye. These things seem separate, but they interlink to create a terrible work environment. For example: I may have a terrible customer who is rude and disrespectful to me the whole time, that makes the job take longer as they follow me around berating me. If I call my supervisor he will just tell me to suck it up, or chew me out himself. I will still have to do at least 4 or 5 jobs that day, dispatch (management as well) made sure of that, so therefore I may be working until 8pm or maybe even 2 am. And I still am expected to be up and ready to jump on a conference call at 6 am! I may not even get 2 hours of sleep. Because I worked over time and only closed a normal amount of jobs, my pay rate goes down... meaning I literally worked more hours and made less money. That feels like it should be against the law, and as an employee, I felt entirely used by your system.

Basically free TV service. That’s it.

Cons

Piece work pay means lots of money when there’s lots of work but there’s been no work for the past 7 months
