1. beware you have to sell when you are a DTV tech. Something they don’t tell you when you’re hired even after explaining that you’re looking for a new job because you need a break from sales. 2. Unfair to travel techs. I volunteered to go to Austin for a month to work in that area with 5 others and 3 of them got paid lunches and hotel while myself and another got nothing. 3. No room to move up the company. John B is a site manger for 4 locations instead of getting they’re supervisors to move up to become site managers. It’s a dead end job. 4. You get paid per job so during really slow months if you only close 2 jobs one day you made 50 if it’s just service calls 5. I was given the opportunity to switch over to the security side of Mastec to work for ADT and Brinks because there was money to make there which was false. Last few days I worked for them I would go to 15 homes and most were canceled because customers were unaware of appointments and of course since I got paid per job I got paid little to no money. I reached to management about it asking to be compensated for it but all I was told was that they’re looking into giving me more DTV work….. no compensation for the time I lost in the 2-4 weeks.
