Corporate Greed and Corruption

Pros

Sound United was a good company to work for. Great group of people. Masimo took over and things went downhill from there.

Cons

The Masimo acquisition of Sound United changed things for the worst. The CEO is obsessed with taking down Apple, claiming they stole technology from his watch. Millions of dollars in legal fees are going down the drain towards a battle he is never going to win. Suing Apple isn't a marketing strategy to sell your own product. None of his followers have the nerve to tell him. Business has gone down and there is no end in sight. Sound United employees are tired, burnt out, and depressed. Layoffs in August cut 250 employees after the CEO promised 2 weeks before that he did not believe in layoffs. No raises, bonuses cut. Those of us left behind have picked up the workloads of those let go. Executive level promotions given out to the most unqualified of candidates. 5 days a week in the office, 8-5 if you live within 45 miles, unless you are on the unofficial list of people who do whatever they want. If not, HR walks around and checks. It a shame that Joe Kiani ruined such a good thing.

Pros

Competitive pay and there are so many projects that not a single day has to be the same.

Cons

Very hierarchical and management doesn’t always listen to the employees input causing a lot of knowledgable employees to leave the company.
