Pros

Overall the benefits packages are great for Western Mass. There are very many health plans to choose from. There is a 401K package and a penson plan. This is the first job that start new hires off with 28 days of vacation. Lots of amenities on site such as post office, tailor , dry cleaner, health center, general store and fully stocked cafeteria with different meals every day.

Cons

Having to wear business casual all the time. It takes a long time to get anything done. There is a lot of red tape and many people have been working here many years. It's not unheard of to have many people who have 20+ years in the company which leads to a lot of, "this is always the way we have done it" type of attitudes. Management is very reluctant to allow much telecommuting. Lack of real communication between senior management. Job can very very demanding on family and personal time, due to expectation to work long hours and weekends. Since this is a Financial institution, EVERY issue is critical no matter how small, which can keep the stress level on high.
