Pros

Good pay Vacation starts at 3 weeks Good 401k Match ** all subject to change in 2021 due to agreement with private equity firm **

Cons

No development within departments and career paths. Very hard to move around and get promoted. Company not willing to adapt to new work culture. Expected to be in the office 4-5 days a week. It’s very micromanaged by upper management. Terrible response to Covid-19 even with cases peaking employees were forced back into the office. Employees were forced to fill out a spreadsheet to make sure employees weren’t working remotely. No raises this past year due to Covid, even though the company had a great year during the pandemic. Owned by a private equity firm. The unknown of being sold again

Pros

Company --> 401K match (could change after October 2021 since this was a BASF Corp benefit), hours rarely exceeded 40 per week, 4 weeks vacation after 5 years Admixtures Business Only --> Competitive products, some folks are very passionate about the business, plants are hard working

Cons

Company--> People are leaving in droves. Some of the best people have already left. Employee development is limited and it's not a focal point because of the private equity firm. Same people get promoted while others wait for years. Lonestar acquired the business in October 2020. They promised for one year to not make any major changes but I expect that to change (i.e. 401K match, health benefits, etc.) Admixtures Business Only --> Toxic culture. Expected to work hard to prove your loyalty but the company shows little in return. Sales and Product Management run the show and expect other functions to do what they say even if it's not a profitable decision. VP's way too involved in every day meetings which prevents individual contributions and ownership. Talk a BIG game about safety but were pushing a return to the office in fall 2020 when cases were spiking. Say they are progressive but have very outdated views on working from home post pandemic (i.e. back to 4 or 5 days a week in the office).
