Pros

Masters is a family owned and operated business for more than 50 years. The company cares about it's employees and work each year to improve on all fronts. Company match 401K. HSA health care compatible opportunities with company contribution. Fun and happy working environment, I truly love to come to each day. All management has open door policies and I feel they are approachable if needed. Employees are empowered to own their business and are accountable for all aspects. Truly no better place to work! We hold our Core Values very close to our hearts inside and outside of work; We Are Dedicated and Loyal, We Care, We Embrace Visionary Thinking, and We Are Entrepreneurial!

Cons

We are growing very fast, and sometimes their hiccups in processes. We work together to correct them and improve on the future processes.

Pros

Master Electronics is by far the best family-owned company I've worked for. They encourage entrepreneurship and listed to your suggestions. I can get quick answers on difficult sales opportunities where it would take me 2 days at my previous employer. The compensation plan is unlike most distributors. They want us to make as much money as possible with very few limitations. Bonuses and internal competitions are done often. 401k is matched, another behavior that is uncommon among distributors. Leadership is approachable and friendly. I don't feel like a number, but part of the family that founded the company. Every year, a large number of employees are taken on an all-expenses paid trip to the sales kickoff meeting where we learn from motivational speakers, perform team-building exercises, plan for the upcoming year and awarded for our successes. Growing within the company is very possible at this time.

Cons

Growing pains. We're growing so quickly that many processes and tools that should've been incorporated years ago are being looked at now. No clear definition of territories. Some accounts in my territory could be serviced better from my branch but are handled from other branches simply because they've been serviced by some of the original branches for years. Because we go to market under a few names, we sometimes find ourselves stepping on our own toes.

Pros

This is a family owned company that treats employees like family. It's a very entrepreneurial organization with aggressive goals, where people generally have a lot of latitude on how to get their jobs done. Company culture places a strong emphasis on core values that I haven't seen at other (public) companies.

Cons

The only cons are for people that don't fit within the culture. If you aren't dedicated, loyal, caring, and entrepreneurial, you won't fit. If you don't embrace visionary thinking, you won't fit.
