Simply a great place to work!

Pros

Stable, privately held company with a long-term vision. Exceptional leadership that consistently models integrity and a “do the right thing” mindset. Strong culture of transparency, quarterly stakeholder bonuses, and thoughtful perks like free food that support employee well-being. Honestly, I wouldn't work anywhere else, the work/life balance is outstanding.

Cons

For newcomers, the culture can take time to fully understand, and decision-making or change can sometimes feel slow-paced due to the MathWorks deliberate and thoughtful approach. It's not a *bad* thing at its core, but it is something you have to get used to.

Pros

Speaking for my specific team, it's great to be a developer here. The technical projects are engaging. There are opportunities to seek out new responsibilities and lead projects. Colleagues are very collaborative. The schedule is flexible, and there really is great work-life balance.

Cons

Some decision-making can be a slow process. The pay may be on the lower-end for a large software company. The hierarchy is flat, so there are not a huge number of official leadership opportunities.
