      EDG is not the place you want to be

      Good name in the industry, Good compensation, Motivation to move out from EDG. Smart peers

      Cons

      Management in EDG doesn't care about ASE's career development or learning. All they want to do is save their a** and look good in front of higher management. The program is portrayed as one which gives flexibility and freedom to pursue your interests but that is rarely the case. Managers start thrusting some stupid timelines and documents on you and will keep wanting you to do more of Technical Support in the name of "Leadership Qualities".

      Good work-life balance, good culture, people are nice

      Cons

      no self-improvement, medium base salary, low bonus, no stock, hard for young professional to stay, my manager is ego, selfish, extremely bossy, having double standard for senior and new hire, like talker than doer and sucks

      Stay for the Cookies, Not for the Career

      Pros

      The CEO is a very down to earth, reasonable person. The Wed breakfast and Friday cookies are a bonus. Most employees are good people.

      Cons

      Core Values aren't followed. Bureaucracy inhibits a lot of common sense decisions. Immediate management is non-existent when needed. There are very few opportunities for career growth. If you're not in Development, you're a second class citizen. Lifers are allowed to perform sub-par work while competent employees are forced to pick up all the slack.
