      Pros

      Stable company with a good work-life balance, intelligent and skilled employees, and some great perks. Excellent health plan, comfortable offices, generous compensation. Overall a good environment and positive place to work.

      Cons

      In office days required and increasing. The change in hybrid work policy is disappointing and affects my quality of life. The ability to work from home three days per week was an important factor in my decision to join the company.

      HR department needs to take a class in empathy

      Pros

      The products and revenue is solid. Overall the marketing team is great.

      Cons

      If you go to HR for guidance or help, they dismiss your concerns and then tell you to talk to someone else. It's puzzling how a company that has invested so much in HR and "doing the right thing" has a department that is so unempathetic to employees who reach out hoping to have a empathic advocate during a difficult time.

      Work life balance Friendly and professional colleagues Lots of people with PhDs -- cannot understand why they work to "make Matlab great again" though

      Cons

      Matlab is simply a bad product Boring tasks Lack of innovation, lack of any initiative for innovation Extremely boring and waste-of-time "trainings" Lack of career growth Low pay -- not even comparable with the market Slow and sluggish pace, both in development and management
