I joined MathWorks straight from college upon graduation with Masters and it was my best decision. This company groomed and prepared me for work life in the initial 2 years of my job as an ASE in EDG. This program allows you to try out different roles and responsibilities like technical assistance to customers, taking up QE project, Software development projects, technical marketing projects, EDG team leadership, EDG process improvement, interviewing new candidates, knowledge sharing presentations, mentoring new hires etc. These are the things I got to do over my 2 years span in EDG which has helped me immensely in my current role as a Software Developer.

Cons
- Very process oriented company; it might fluster one who is not used to of the detailed analysis, documentation and reviews before implementation. Would be much appreciated by research oriented individuals.
- Only 3 days work from home and more on request. Works for me as the company has worked hard to provide us the best environments to work in with personal office spaces with great food and other services.
- Salary might be a tad bit low than some other contemporaries.
