Great people and work, terrible executive structure and benefits
Pros
++ Incredibly smart and kind colleagues. ++ Interesting and meaningful project work spanning a variety of topic areas, clients, and research methods. ++ Great place for people with initiative and enthusiasm who are willing to try new tasks and research methods. ++Work from home and flex time is great, and won't be going away.
Cons
--"Employee ownership" is a buzzword; employees have no real power. Everything is top-down, with occasional opportunities to provide unactionable feedback. --Culture has become hostile, putting profit over people, starting with the CEO and extending through the E suite. Company is resistant to meaningful change (aside from countless reorgs). -- Executives are overpaid at the expense of junior and mid-level staff. -- Despite being a majority woman company, women are underrepresented in leadership (compared to the rest of the company), and parental leave is abysmal. -- Disappointing benefits (specifically PTO and family leave).
