Pros

Good pay ($11) considering the instructors are mostly students, chill dress code policy (just wear Mathnasium polo and dark pants), builds good experiences with kids, and a sitting job

Cons

Instructor training is not very thorough. The franchise management here is horrendous. They try so hard to look good for the parents that they forget to care about the instructors.

It allowed me to interact with many different types of students and skill levels. It afforded me the opportunity to gain experience with students who had learning disabilities.

Cons

There are very few and limited opportunities to grow within the company and there are no benefits offered.

Pros

Shorts shifts, even the closing shifts are relatively quick. Work was fulfilling as you can see that you really are helping the kids better understand math. There are opportunities to move up in the company, if you wish to.

Cons

Wish I could've gotten more hours, but it is a part-time job so depending on the amount of traffic your center gets you may only end up with around 8-10 a week.
