Working with kids

Pros

It's usually a relaxed environment. Focusing strictly on math ranging from kindergarten to high school calculus and statistics. Ever so often adults will come needing help studying for a math related exam (like praxis, gmat, etc). You just need to make sure you're on top of your math skills and work well with others. Be able to explain math concepts in multiple different ways.

Cons

Some kids can be rowdy, calming them down or asking them to work can be a hassle. Some can be extremely quiet and never ask a question but in reality they need help, so kind of have to check-up on them every 10 minutes to make sure they're understanding their work and not feeling lost. (I don't consider these cons I'm just making you aware in case YOU don't like dealing with kids like these)

Decent Part-time Job

Pros

the hours are convenient, coworkers are generally good people, one of the better low-paying high school jobs out there, my experience with my boss and center directors has been positive

Cons

the pay is ridiculously low for what kids pay to go there, there's a many tedious or unnecessary problems kids get forced to do, can get boring if no one comes in
