Pros

The tasks were pretty simple, you are generated a set of worksheets to provide to a student, and then you have to help teach the contents of the worksheets ranging from counting up to Algebra 1. You were also encouraged to engage in more fun math game activites and such as rewards. Also, the Socratic teaching method was heavily employed, and I use it a ton as a Teaching Assistant in computer science at the University of Minnesota.

Cons

Pay was a bit low, started at minimum wage, but it's fair since I was leaving for college.

Pros

The job is very flexible to work around your schedule. Working with math naturally makes you better at it. You get to help other people understand the concepts and get that light-bulb moment.

Cons

I liked to work with upper-level High School math but sometimes would have to work on the lower basics level. The kids can be difficult sometimes and you have to be able to handle their 'bad' days.
