Pros

This company is very involved with the local schools. If you are looking for a second job to make ends meet this company is a good option. If you enjoy small children this is the perfect place.

Cons

If you have a thirst for tutoring upper mathematics this is not the place. If you have a bachelors or advanced degree in mathematics your talent may be wasted. Most of the work there involves doing simply multiplication, teaching fractions by cutting shapes, and using simple manipulative for elementary students.

Pros

The environment is nice. The directors are great. Being a math major and having math as my favorite subject made this a very comfortable part time job. Most of the kids I have tutored were great.

Cons

A downside would be the pay ($12/hour) and the fact that it is only part time. This is a great part-time job if you are full-time college student

Pros

Very flexible hours, independently franchised. Good curriculum to stay on track, but sometimes that can also be limiting. Usually it isn't, which just means that as a tutor you know you will cover what you need to with the students.

Cons

Your experience really depends on the owner/manager of each franchise.
