Pros

This is the most rewarding and less stressful job I have ever had. The kids are great for the most part as long as you understand many aren't going to want to be there. If you can connect with them and relate some, it makes it much easier for everyone.

Cons

The pay and the hours. At time of hiring I set the minimum number of hours I would need, it was agreed upon. I've maybe achieved that many hours once. I stayed only because as my pro said, I like the level of stress and had many other things going.

- the owner at my center was bad (your mileage will vary) - as director, you spend a lot of time doing basically a sales job

The students are lovely. Only bright spot of the position.

Cons

Poor leadership that created a toxic learning environment and burnout. Work/life balance is very poor due to expectations and demands of the owner, reinforced by area manager. Prepare to receive work messages at all hours and passive aggressive comments if you dare you try to leave on time - even if you consistently show up early. Genuine attempts at improvements are often ignored or met with flippant and disrespectful responses. It is not surprising that they have struggled to keep someone in this role for over a year.
