Fun to work at, but often not worth it.

Pros

Students are fun to work with and can be very engaging if they are paying attention. Director was very forgiving with absent days (for high schoolers)

Cons

At busy times, center was understaffed, instructors sometimes got 5-6 kids per instructor (at base pay without tax deduction, that's only about $1.60 per kid per hour!).

I enjoyed working with kids and private tutoring is not consistent enough.

Cons

The scheduling was announced weekly which made advanced planning difficult.

Pros

Mathnasium is a great place to work. It has an overall wonderful work environment. The people are awesome, my supervisor is awesome and the kids are awesome. I would definitely recommend working here if you're a math whiz.

Cons

The only con is the limited amount of hours that a person is able to work, but it is good for a second job if needed to work 2 jobs or for a person's first job ever.
