The tutoring helps students enormously, but the training is tedious and a pain.

Pros

The owner does a great job of bringing in new students and keeping the ones that were there. The curriculum helps students to thoroughly understand the topics.

Cons

The training is nearly fully reliant on watching videos and writing reviews with your thoughts afterwords. There were quizzes that challenged the teaching brain a little, but some things were worded without any clarity. As a mathematics education student, I could not get a raise unless I did the training, which I was never given the opportunity to complete.

Pros

The owners of the centers are just awesome, and it really provides a welcoming working environment. Most of the kids are adorable and very fun to work with, and nothing is more satisfying than your student telling you how well he did on his quiz yesterday because of Mathnasium. Chill job with flexible hours.

Cons

Pay is abysmal, and impossible to support yourself if this is your only job. Other than that, none.
