      The mathnasium is a great place to foster teaching and communication skills.

      Pros

      There are a lot of opportunities to be creative with your job. In addition, the hours are very flexible. It is a lot of fun working with the kids and you feel as if you're making a very real impact in their lives.

      Cons

      It's hard to think of cons to working at the Mathnasium other than a lack of upward mobility as a result of the small company.

      Tutoring for mainly elementary school children.

      Pros

      Fairly relaxed work environment and the math being taught was very simple. The other employees were are friendly and I had a flexible work schedule.

      Cons

      The minimum wage and working with 4-6 young children, effectively acting as a babysitter were very stressful and made it difficult to get anything accomplished. There are always problem children who will do anything and everything to avoid doing math,
