Pros
The two centers I've worked at have been really great teams that are very understanding. There is lots of paid training and you're never judged by your understanding of high level math, but your ability to teach math (mostly at low levels.) It's extremely rewarding and satisfying to help students grow and develop, all be it slowly, in their skills. The centers I have also worked at really are student focused and promote positive and comprehensive learning with little to no memorization. The system is set up to help you as an instructor and half the time if you don't know how to teach something, the pages will guide you.
Cons
It's stressful if you let it be. Kids are stressful, grading is stressful, teaching and grading while dealing with a 3 to 1 (sometimes a 4 to 1) ratio is hell if you aren't ready. If you have a proclivity to feel completely responsible for others behavior or success, you won't survive. If you have a short temper or tolerance for children crying and having fits, you will be emotionally beat. If your looking into upper management, you now got to deal with parents. They can be worse then the children.
