* Great growth potential, for taking initiatives in new projects and working in different areas of engineering potentially outside the role that you are hired for * Lots of intellectual challenges, both in engineering and model development, within a fast-paced environment * Huge impact, with changes delivered to production/customer within days * Engineering team is passionate about new technologies and papers * Leadership is responsive to feedbacks/ideas, and transparent about business decision making and customer relationship * Fun team outings and amazing hack week projects * Nice office with snacks and drinks, next to Philz and downtown * Friendly, welcoming and collaborative company culture
Cons
* The overall company culture values developing new features and meeting customer needs (which make sense for startups) much more over long term software maintainability and engineering best-practices * There is not much mentorship as you'd get in large companies; learning from online resources in a self-driven fashion is more encouraged and practiced
