Pros

Position starts out at 19 if you work second or third shift.

Cons

Only 50 cents raises every year, if the lab break records every quarter they'll only give you an extra 10-20 cents on top of that. Leads are picked based on who is the most liked by their supervisor, not based on experience or time in the department you're applying to lead. They'll tell you about mandatory over time only 24-48 hours in advance, if you can't make it or paid alot of money for a vacation during that weekend, they'll tell you that your job is on the line if you don't come in. If you get hurt on the job they make it almost impossible to receive workers compensation with scheduling and rescheduling your appointments and due dates of those appointment results to HR.

Pros

(all listed in past tense) Formerly privately owned, Maui Jim was a unicorn in the eyewear industry. It was quirky, fun, and a truly non-typical way of doing business by putting the customer first. The pay was a bit lower than comparable jobs in the area, but the benefits were amazing, and it felt like a family. Note: Maui Jim is no longer privately owned.

Cons

(all listed in past tense) Pay was not equitable and the opportunities for advancement were limited.

Pros

Good benefits, nice amount of PTO

Cons

Workload not even shared. Blatant sexism and favoritism. Have to know someone high up in order to get promoted. Little room for advancement.
