      1) Exciting atmosphere 2) Strong company and coworker encouragement 3) Great clothes (and discount!) 4) Company sets high goals to push employees 5) Customers are so nice, and often make your day! 6) Accountability 7) Working as a team for the common good of the company

      1) Pay could be a little better for the hard work we all put in 2) Can get competative

      Pros

      -focused on development of team members -open line if communication between stores and corporate -generally concerned with what is best for our customers -great benefits -lots of incentive programs for employees to excel -nice discount

      Cons

      -very demanding schedule (I am ok with this as I am single without children, but I feel a single parent would have a hard time in a full time position) -some sales goals are a bit inflated (i.e. Credit card applications) -all women working together can cause drama

      Pros

      Fun if you enjoy helping other people shop, and are into fashion. You spend a lot of time around clothes and interacting with people. There is opportunity for advancement if you are really into retail sales.

      Cons

      Push the maurices credit card too much, and your performance depends on it. Lots of pressure to turn people into profitable customers and sell them as much stuff as possible, so if you are about helping people as opposed to looking at them as dollar signs, this is not the place for you. If you don't meet your daily sales goals, you are put on a probation and are not as scheduled as much.
