Pros

Loved my Job and the customers other than that there is not a whole lot I can say positive so I will leave it at that

Cons

Made 1 mistake in over 17 years and was fired on the spot. My acrrued vacation pay and sick leave.was not paid. (Which i will be entering litigation shortly) Low pay hours constantly cut to maintain a profit / labor ratio. No loyalty shown to people who stick with the company. If you are looking for long term employment do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. In the end upper management will turn there back on you.

Pros

There is a lot of expansion and potential for this company, get in the right store and its a pretty friendly environment.

Cons

There is a lot of inconsistencies from store to store as well as within the company's systems. Most stores are highly disorganized and your Store Director is going to set the standard for everything, meaning your at the mercy of their personality. There is not a lot of unification in practices or procedures so each store could be completely different. Health insurance offered to low level is the biggest joke ever, they never once payed a single cent towards anything for me. My experience was that of being understaffed to the point that I could never use sick or vacation time because it would cause whoever had to cover my shift to go into overtime and I would have to make up for it some other day in the week but other stores would be so overstaffed that employees there complained they couldn't get enough hours. It would make sense for employees to be able to work at different stores but the learning curve from store to store made it an ineffective solution. Standardize all practices and you won't miss a beat when one employee quits and the whole system has to recover as you train a new person and pay double labor for one job.

Pros

Easy Job, very customer interactive. Great bonus incentives and sales incentives. Lots of Prizes and give aways for performance. Good group of people in the stores. if you're looking for a stable job and willing to work hard..and have great patronizing skills... u can have stable employment..and for the most part it's fun.

Cons

Not a lot of opportunity to advance beyond the store level. it's not what you know or how you perform or whether you are more qualified, it's who you know or who's rear end you kiss..or if you're mormon or not...Lots of unqualified upper management..lots of unposted jobs magically get filled by someone without it being open to everyone..bad HR practices..desired qualifications for positions are just formalities not realities...they're more willing to promote who's been with the company a decade, vs who is actually more qualified..and you end up with a boss with less schooling and experience than you...this practice with eventually catch up with them. Not a little chain anymore. They need an HR department screening applicants based on the job description and qualifications and delivering pools of screened candidates to upper managers. Unfortunately these upper managers are not professionally trained in interviewing or hiring and as the company grows will need this sort of professional HR support...
